Objective: Conceptual Design and Project Valuation of 2nd Generation Bioethanol plant
Scope of work: Our client is developing a fermentation-based process for the production of ethanol from cellulosic materials, namely corn stover. To start with the engineering phase of the project, detailed development and optimization of the process concept need to be conducted. This task includes: development of detailed mass and energy balance of the complete bioethanol process, equipment sizing and cost estimating, energy optimization, valuation and comparison of different process options for feedstock pre-treatment, hydrolysis & saccharification, downstream processing and product recovery section, etc
