Objective: For their acrylonitrile production in Geleen, The Netherlands our client requires a full scale optimization tool that will maximize the profit while considering plant variables such as: product yields, waste generation, catalyst consumption, steam production, side product production, etc.
Scope of work: Building a detailed process optimization tool to maximise acrylonitrile product value; Model based tool which takes into consideration a complex set of interdependent plant variables and provides the plant research team with advice on how to operate reactor system in order to minimize waste, maximize heat production, maximize product throughput, etc. leading to maximum product value and process safety.
