Objective: Full-scale evaluation of yeast-based fermentation technology for the production of succinic acid from plant starches/sugars feedstock, including a comparison with other fermentation-based technologies.
Scope of work: Development of process concept, technology selection and design of biobased succinic acid production based low pH yeast fermentation, including feedstock pre-treatment, product separation and purification, wastewater treatment and other auxiliary production facilities. Project scope building and valuation study including AACE level 4 cost estimate, economic and financial analysis, comparison with bacteria-based fermentation technology for production of Succinic acid.
